High-Precision Pneumatic Tooth Setting for Large-Scale Sawmill Operations
High-Precision Pneumatic Tooth Setting for Large-Scale Sawmill Operations
The BMT300 Industrial Tooth Setter is a high-performance electro-pneumatic machine engineered for large sawmilling enterprises and professional blade reconditioning centers. Designed to ensure maximum accuracy, repeatability, and operational efficiency, the BMT300 delivers consistent tooth setting results for bandsaw blades up to 75 mm (3”) wide. With a maximum feed speed of 24 teeth per minute, the machine supports intensive production environments where precision and throughput are equally critical.
Precision Pneumatic Setting System
At the core of the BMT300 is a robust pneumatic setting mechanism that guarantees accurate and uniform tooth deflection across the entire blade length. The system ensures stable setting force and controlled movement, eliminating inconsistencies associated with manual or semi-automatic solutions. As a result, each tooth is set according to predefined parameters, ensuring optimal cutting geometry and reliable sawing performance. The BMT300 works with a pre-set pattern – it sets every third tooth of the blade.
The machine is equipped with an advanced electronic control panel that displays all key operating parameters and diagnostic information. The intuitive interface allows operators to quickly configure the desired setting mode and monitor machine status in real time. Once the blade is properly mounted and the appropriate mode selected, the BMT300 operates automatically, ensuring repeatable and high-quality results with minimal operator intervention.
Flexible Operating Modes and Intelligent Control
The BMT300 offers multiple operating modes to provide maximum process flexibility and precise control over tooth setting parameters.
- Control Mode – enables verification of existing tooth set values, allowing the operator to assess blade condition prior to or after processing.
- Standard Setting Modes – automatically detect the tooth set pattern and compensate for irregularities. If a tooth has been over-set, the system identifies the deviation and automatically bends it back to the correct value.
After completing the tooth setting process, the machine automatically stops and performs a comprehensive inspection of the blade to verify compliance with the programmed tolerances. Adjustable minimum and maximum set tolerances allow the user to tailor the process to specific blade types and cutting requirements, ensuring optimal kerf width and cutting stability.
To process the opposite side of the blade, the operator simply reverses the blade orientation, reinstalls it in the machine, and shifts the blade pusher to the reversed position. This ergonomic and logical workflow supports efficient and safe operation in high-volume production settings.
Designed for Industrial Integration
The BMT300 is specifically developed as a complementary solution to the BMS600 Industrial Sharpener, forming a complete blade maintenance system for companies operating multiple bandsaw mills. It is also ideally suited for professional blade service centers handling large volumes of blades from various customers.
Its durable industrial construction, advanced diagnostics, and high automation level make the BMT300 a reliable and scalable solution for demanding environments where blade accuracy directly impacts cutting quality, productivity, and operational cost control.
