Affordable Performance for Resawing and More
SilverTIP blades offer an economical solution for portable and industrial sawmills, as well as horizontal resaws. Made from high-quality spring carbon steel, these blades combine flexibility and durability to deliver reliable performance in high-volume sawing and resaw applications.
Designed for Resaw Excellence
Initially developed for cutting clean wood in resaw operations, SilverTIP blades have proven to be versatile performers. European woodworkers have discovered their effectiveness in producing high-quality cuts on logs, offering an excellent balance between cost and output.
Durable and Flexible
Manufactured from spring carbon steel with a higher carbon content than standard blades, SilverTIP blades are designed for durability. Each tooth tip is induction-hardened, ensuring sharpness and wear resistance that stands out among other carbon steel blades.
Cost-effective and Resharpenable
Ideal for economical sawing, primary and secondary breakdowns, SilverTIP blades provide an attractive price-to-performance ratio. While they can be resharpened with CBN grinding wheels, they may not endure as many resharpenings as high-alloy steel blades like DoubleHARD.
Why Choose SilverTIP?
Affordable carbon steel construction for cost-effective sawing.
Induction-hardened teeth for enhanced durability and sharpness.
Designed for resawing clean wood but versatile for logs and high-volume sawing.
Flexible and durable spring steel for dependable performance.

Each Wood-Mizer bandsaw blade tooth is precisely set using computer-controlled equipment in the production process. Thanks to CBN technology, the entire blade profile is sharpened uniformly, ensuring the highest quality. All Wood-Mizer blades undergo dozens of tests and inspections - from raw material selection to final grinding - to guarantee optimal performance. Compatible with many brands and models of sawmills and resaws, Wood-Mizer blades deliver unmatched quality, precision, and efficiency in every situation.
α - Hook Angleγ - Back AngleProfile - α/γ
The blade tooth profile is formed by two angles: the hook angle and the back angle. Hook angle is the number of degrees that the tooth face leans forward of 90 degrees. Back angle is the number of degrees that the backside of the tooth leans backward of 90 degrees.
The profile of a sawmill blade should be chosen based on the type of wood you are sawing and what type of equipment you are sawing with.
Our profiles
